Liqui-Met is a cold applied Liquid Metal coating solution that can be applied to most substrates to produce a genuine metal finish. It is usually applied using a gravity-fed spraygun.

How much metal is in Liqui-Met? . . .

Liqui-Met is made of up to 95% metal. Our liquid metal coating is created by suspending the metal in a polymer resin allowing for a smooth application and quality finish.

Can anyone use it? . . .

Liqui-Met is intended for professional use. Those that aren't well versed in the process of using Liquid Metal solutions are highly encouraged to attend one of our Training Courses which last either 1 or 2 days, depending on which course you choose. These courses give us the opportunity to show you how best to use the products, and also to share useful techniques that can help you to blend metals and experiment with textures confidently.

Is there a substrate that Liqui-Met wont work with? . . .

Although Liqui-Met works on most substrates, the only known materials it won’t work with are: Wax, Silicone, malleable surfaces, and people.

Can Liqui-Met conduct electricity . . .

No, although our products are real metal, due to being embedded in a polymer resin, their conductive properties are limited, we advise to exercise caution and also advise not to use the products in an electrical or mechanical environment just to be on the safe side.

Where can I Use Liqui-Met? . . .

Liqui-met is suitable for use internally and externally, we have specific binders to suite almost all applications. When sealed over with our 2in1 lacquer, liqui-met is completely encapsulated, meaning the created finish underneath the lacquer will not change with age. .
